Job Summary

We are seeking a Seasonal Cashier Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting our sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
  • Restock shelves, maintain visual merchandising standards, and ensure a clean and organized store environment
  • Assist with merchandise recovery, including processing returns and exchanges
  • Support sales floor activities, including setting up displays and maintaining store recovery standards
  • Participate in cross-training programs to develop skills and knowledge in areas such as custom framing and sales techniques
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
