We are seeking a qualified AP/CP General Pathologist to enhance our Pathology department at United Health Services. This role is based in a dynamic medical center that provides comprehensive pathology services.

Work Schedule:
Shift: Day
Hours per week: 40
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a diverse range of pathology cases, including:

  • Approximately 21,000 surgical pathology cases annually
  • 20,000 GYN cytopathology cases
  • 3,000 non-gynecologic cytopathology cases
  • 250 autopsies
  • 300 bone marrow examinations
  • 1,100 flow cytometry analyses
  • 5 million clinical pathology tests

Department Composition:
The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine department is staffed by a team of specialists, including:

  • 2 board-certified cytopathologists
  • 3 board-certified hematopathologists
  • 1 board-certified neuropathologist
  • 1 board-certified transfusion medicine specialist
  • 1 breast/ob/gyn fellowship-trained pathologist
  • 1 GU fellowship-trained pathologist
  • 1 board-certified dermatopathologist
  • 3 pathologist assistants

We are also in search of additional specialists in forensic pathology and GI/Liver pathology to complement our team.

Our department maintains a robust quality assurance program in both Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP). We are equipped with advanced laboratories for immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and automated histology, ensuring high standards in our diagnostic processes.
