Job Title: Evaluation Specialist

APLA Health is seeking an Evaluation Specialist to support our program evaluation, program monitoring, and assessment of program utilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and evaluation, with experience in data analysis and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative evaluation plans and formative research designs for new and existing programs.
  • Design data collection instruments and provide oversight of collection, reporting, and analysis of aggregate and individual client data.
  • Implement training and development for staff on project data tools and data collection and outcome monitoring activities.
  • Collect, enter, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and manage databases.
  • Conduct focus groups and key informant interviews, and lead initiatives to promote quality achievement and performance improvement on funded programs.
  • Develop evaluation plans, quality management plans, and quality management indicators, and provide training and expertise in evaluation and quality management to staff.
  • Write evaluation reports incorporating outcome monitoring, formative research, and quality management data, and present oral and written reports of evaluation outcomes in appropriate venues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in research and evaluation application, health education training, and report writing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience conducting descriptive and frequency analyses, and tracking and managing multiple sources of data.

Working Conditions:

This is a primarily office position that requires occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and moving of office materials weighing 25 pounds or less.

The position requires daily use of a personal computer and requires entering, viewing, and revising text and graphics on the computer terminal and on paper.
