About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient admission process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the admissions office process in our inpatient rehabilitation facilities
  • Maintain up-to-date statistical data in our computer information system within established time frames
  • Ensure completion of all referral documentation and maintain filing systems
  • Maintain, post, and distribute an accurate census and referral information to administration and hospital staff on a daily basis
  • Maintain systems and processes for timely data-entry of pre-admit, admission, and registration of information for inpatients and outpatients
  • Ensure patients have a good understanding of their insurance benefits and answer questions as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Admitting and/or medical insurance preferred
  • Experience in handling patient admissions preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance and their benefits and admitting forms
  • Proficiency in recording admission reservations
  • Basic computer knowledge including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $42,000 - $64,000 per year. Certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this range.
