Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign measurements, specimen collection, and personal care activities.
  • Observe, collect, and document patient information, and promptly report significant changes in patient condition to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge from the clinical area.
  • Provide care and treatments to patients as outlined in the plan of care, including range of motion exercises, postural drainage, and supportive patient interactions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 36-hour workweek. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced hospital setting, providing care to patients and families in a variety of clinical areas.
