Job SummaryThe Quality Control Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the quality of our hot mix asphalt, liquid asphalt, cold mix asphalt, crushed stone, sand, and gravel products. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular quality control tests to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local specifications.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of quality control testing and results.
- Provide support to sales teams, customers, and plant management as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- QCT Certification from a NETTCP accredited program (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in the asphalt and concrete industries (a plus).
- Ability to work hands-on in manual labor environments.
- Comfortable using mechanical tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficient literacy in English and computational math.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Word, Excel, and email.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, with regular exposure to loud equipment and mechanical parts. The ideal candidate will be able to sit or stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
