Position Overview:
This role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards throughout the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer specifications and engineering drawings to confirm adherence to quality standards.
- Determine critical inspection points during the manufacturing workflow.
- Record and update inspection protocols, noting any necessary alterations.
- Keep thorough quality assurance documentation.
- Review quality assurance methodologies and oversee corrective actions.
- Conduct both initial and ongoing inspections of gauges, testing instruments, and production tools.
- Verify that inspection and testing apparatus are calibrated in accordance with established timelines.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with quality inspection of diverse materials such as metals and polymers.
- Skilled in drafting and interpreting inspection reports concerning quality metrics, calibration, and technical documentation.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Familiarity with measurement instruments, including micrometers and gauges, along with a solid grasp of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience in both first piece and final product inspections.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
