Your Role

As a key member of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team, you will oversee the management of our Plant Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all food safety and quality assurance programs are effectively implemented and documented, adhering to USDA and FDA regulations.
  • Investigation and Improvement: Conduct thorough investigations of product or process failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Sanitation Oversight: Design and manage the facility's sanitation program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effective sanitation practices.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Food Safety and Quality Assurance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. A strong understanding of quality assurance principles, food science, and regulatory requirements is essential.

Work Environment

This position requires working in both office and plant settings, which may involve exposure to various environmental conditions. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks is necessary.
