Position Overview
The Strategic Procurement Manager will possess a comprehensive understanding of all facets within the project procurement lifecycle. This role will spearhead initiatives in procurement strategy formulation, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and supply chain management, while ensuring accountability for procurement outcomes during project execution.

Key Responsibilities
This position entails mentoring and guiding junior team members, project teams, and other internal stakeholders on procurement best practices and methodologies.

The Strategic Procurement Manager will:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and devise effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • Work seamlessly with remote teams in a hybrid work setting.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and adhere to established project timelines.
  • Oversee and mentor team members in executing activities throughout the project procurement lifecycle, including strategy development, supplier selection, bid analysis, contracting, and expediting.
  • Deliver project procurement outputs for client initiatives, focusing on both supplier equipment and trade deliverables.
  • Maintain regular communication with senior leadership as necessary.
  • Develop and implement best practices for project execution utilizing CRB processes and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during project execution.
  • Formulate timely and effective supplier contract negotiation strategies.
  • Monitor adherence to sourcing strategies, negotiations, contract implementation, and performance against set targets.
  • Manage supplier relationships and oversee contract negotiations.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Coordinate material logistics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about local and global market conditions to enhance regional projects and business intelligence.
  • Consult with internal resources regarding tax, insurance, liability, and contractual matters.
  • Review compliance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain historical procurement data for equipment.
  • Provide timely and accurate identification of issues, proactively developing strategies to mitigate impacts on projects and the business, including thorough status reporting and documentation of corrective action plans.
  • Promote continuous improvement within sourcing and procurement processes.
