Job Overview:


With limited oversight, acts as the company's technical service representative at various locations, including customer platforms and facilities.


Guide and support customers and contractor personnel on recommended practices and techniques for maintaining electronic systems on designated platforms.

Assess and propose products or service solutions that align with customer needs.

Conduct training for operators and maintainers of electronic systems for service technicians and end-users as necessary.

Evaluate product failures and suggest and implement solutions to improve product reliability.

Contribute to the development of processes and procedures that support the servicing and upkeep of electronic systems.

This role will also assist in executing integrated equipment systems tests.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-level repairs, diagnostics, service, support, and upgrades for all land-based, airborne, and maritime products.

Collaborate with Engineering to develop and implement system upgrades and engineering change orders (ECO).

Create standard repair and maintenance protocols and document them according to company standards.


Provide technical and administrative assistance in managing field service inventory, including determining requirements for contents and quantities.

Engage with customers either in person or through phone or electronic media regarding technical issues, repairs, or inquiries.

Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment.

Carry out on-site installation of equipment and troubleshoot equipment start-up issues.

Take corrective measures by adhering to established testing protocols to ensure proper functionality.

Represent the company in customer interactions (including equipment demonstrations) and ensure customer satisfaction with the equipment.

Provide leadership and training to technicians as necessary.

Participate in the creation and execution of training programs for service technicians, field service personnel, and/or customer maintenance staff.

Repair select systems in a workshop environment when travel schedules permit.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Candidates with an Associate's Degree plus specialized electronics or military training will be considered.

Specialized training in infrared or thermal imaging technology or equivalent experience is required.

A minimum of three years of field service technical repair experience in infrared or thermal imaging is necessary.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products is essential.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.


Must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with various levels of management and staff, both internally and externally.

Ability to travel on short notice, both domestically and internationally.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.

Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) License is preferred.
