Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Service Maintenance Manager, the Facility Cleaner is tasked with ensuring the overall tidiness, aesthetic appeal, and presentation of the community. This role emphasizes fostering a positive and collaborative relationship with fellow team members and residents. The Cleaner will execute janitorial responsibilities to uphold the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior areas through regular cleaning schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine tasks such as emptying waste receptacles, washing windows, scrubbing walls, mopping floors, cleaning staircases, and vacuuming carpets.
  • Ensure the exterior grounds are kept clean by collecting litter and managing waste disposal areas.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with landscaping tasks, including sweeping pathways, raking leaves, planting flora, and spreading mulch.
  • Carry out cleaning of unoccupied apartments during turnover periods.
  • Perform battery replacements for smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms, change light bulbs, and assist with minor repairs.
  • Participate in snow removal efforts and be available for cleanup during adverse weather conditions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations.
  • Work consistently in outdoor weather conditions.
Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
