The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry and experience in administrative clinical leadership. They will be responsible for reviewing and scheduling changes to our clinical programs, developing educational programs, and ensuring the delivery of quality mental healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Oversight: Supervise psychiatric care and practices, represent the hospital on committees, and review referrals for admission.
- Program Development: Develop and conduct educational programs related to drug and alcohol abuse, participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning conferences, and ensure the comprehensive delivery of quality mental healthcare.
- Recruitment and Retention: Manage physician recruitment and retention, including evaluating clinical competency and performance.
- Medical Student Training: Coordinate medical student rotations, provide orientation, lectures, and training.
- Direct Patient Care: Provide direct psychiatric care to patients, including evaluation, treatment, and psychotherapy, in compliance with state and federal regulations and patient safety protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) degree from an accredited university.
- Seven years of professional experience in providing services to persons with psychiatric disabilities, with two years at the administrative clinical level or equivalent.
- Licensure to practice medicine in the state of employment and certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
