Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients in various inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses, including post-surgical, developmental, neurological, genetic, oncologic, and traumatic conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Perform clinical evaluations, assessments, and interventions to promote patient-centered care.
  • Supervise and delegate responsibilities to therapy assistants, clinical students, and support staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and concise patient care documentation and billing in accordance with system, hospital, and department policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current unencumbered license or temporary permit to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Connecticut.
  • Membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
  • One to two years of experience in an academic or large medical center-based practice preferred.
Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the wrist, fingers, or hands. The worker may be exposed to blood and body fluids, hazardous materials, and communicable diseases.
