Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Per-Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Orlando Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients and developing treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, and interdisciplinary team meetings, as well as family and significant other persons and data sources.
  • Develop treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives.
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload.
  • Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Competent in the use, care, and maintenance of profession-specific equipment, observing safety precautions and providing verbal explanations of the equipment and its purpose.
  • Re-evaluate and modify treatment plans and goals when appropriate, and prepare written documentation as required by the department and the care team.
  • Recognize and communicate when the patient has received optimal benefit from speech therapy.
  • Ensure accurate billing for own therapy services.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an approved program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or active engagement in Clinical Fellowship Year Requirements.
  • Maintains current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida. Provisional license is acceptable.
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
