Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Summit Health Inc. As a key member of our medical office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and family members, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Communication and Scheduling: Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff member. Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures as ordered by the physician.
  • Chart Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare charts for new patients, ensure all required forms are completed, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Supply Management and Inventory: Monitor supply levels, requisition necessary items, and maintain a well-stocked and organized office environment.
  • Clerical and Administrative Tasks: Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, photocopying, filing, and mailings.
  • Patient Confidentiality and Data Protection: Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient information, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or patient service representative role preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer software and data entry required.
  • Certifications: Heartsaver certification within 30 days of hire.
