POSITION TITLE: Industrial Equipment Technician

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Associate's Degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Preferred background includes 3-5 years in multi-skilled industrial equipment repair within the automotive sector, along with 1-3 years in a supervisory capacity. A robust understanding of PLC systems, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic design and repair, is essential. Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, and industrial fabrication is required.

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

This position is tasked with executing a wide range of responsibilities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility machinery in alignment with safety protocols, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency systems. The role is crucial in supporting the company's strategic objectives as directed by the Maintenance Manager. Additionally, this position will oversee all technical and mechanical operations within the plant and manage any necessary building or grounds maintenance, leading a team of skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee a hands-on supervisory role focused on preventive maintenance and enhancement of plant machinery.
  2. Manage maintenance technicians, fostering their development through effective training, coaching, and mentoring, while addressing performance or behavioral concerns as they arise.
  3. Serve as the technical authority for the assigned shift, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues related to PLCs, conveyors, and various machine maintenance aspects, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  4. Enhance and sustain the preventive maintenance program.
  5. Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and servicing tasks.
  6. Identify issues, replace or repair components, and conduct testing as required.
