Work Environment:
• Medical facilities and clinics associated with a prominent healthcare center.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education: High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
• Training: One of the following:
- Graduation from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP.
- Completion of a program recognized by ABHES.
- Military medical training from the United States Armed Forces.
- Approval from the healthcare facility.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 3 years.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
• Citizenship: Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
• Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for effective communication.
• Physical Requirements: Must be capable of standing or sitting for extended periods and performing all necessary tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain productivity levels comparable to peers in similar roles.
• Engage in peer reviews and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Respond effectively in emergency situations, following established procedures.
• Be aware of legal considerations in patient care and manage situations to minimize risk.
• Participate in the Family Advocacy Program as required.
• Respect patient rights and maintain professional accountability.
• Pursue ongoing education for professional development.
• Complete all mandatory training sessions as directed by the healthcare facility.
• Actively contribute to performance improvement meetings and initiatives.
• Provide training and support to clinic staff as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Utilize clinical information systems effectively and respond to communications promptly.
• Delegate tasks appropriately within the healthcare team.
• Maintain clear and legible records of all treatments provided.
Work Schedule:
• Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday.
