Compensation: $51-61 per hour, commensurate with experience

Essential Qualifications:

- Minimum of 6 years of IT experience, specifically in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Virtual Machines (VM), ideally within a large enterprise environment.

- At least 2 years of management experience overseeing direct reports.

- Proficient in service delivery and support in accordance with ITIL standards, including incident and problem management.

- Familiarity with VMware technologies such as Horizon and Hyper-V.

- Experience in mobile device management solutions, including Workspace ONE and AirWatch.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- ITIL Certification.

- Microsoft Certifications.

- Knowledge of Active Directory.

- Experience with ControlUp and Tanium.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow and PowerShell scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee the architectural design, implementation, and operational management of technology solutions that enhance employee productivity. Your focus will be on aligning strategies with industry best practices across Mobility, VDI, Desktop Computing, and related end-user capabilities.

  • Establish and maintain a framework for regular updates to desktop images, mobile devices, and VDI infrastructure to maximize user productivity and satisfaction.
  • Implement IT Change Control processes to minimize downtime and disruptions for users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technology solutions that ensure redundancy, scalability, security, and a seamless user experience.
  • Create and manage a dashboard to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to team performance, environmental metrics, and financial outcomes, emphasizing user satisfaction.
  • Develop end-user computing solutions that provide a superior experience, integrating user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Establish a quality assurance program to maintain high standards of output, utilizing pilot groups and feedback mechanisms.
  • Work with IT Support teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure a cohesive approach to end-user support.
  • Design a consistent user experience across various devices, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
  • Review and approve relevant financial documentation, focusing on cost-effectiveness and value in end-user computing investments.
  • Participate in budget planning, articulating capital and operational expenditures related to end-user computing enhancements.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and business cases to senior leadership, highlighting the impact on end-user computing.
  • Engage in technology selection committees, advocating for solutions that improve the end-user experience.
  • Identify and recommend changes to existing policies and procedures to enhance end-user computing.
  • Provide coverage and administrative support during staff absences.
  • Organize and oversee activities related to end-user computing initiatives.
  • Manage and direct the work of team members, ensuring alignment with end-user computing goals.
  • Evaluate employee performance and work processes to uphold quality standards.
  • Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and prepare them for advancement.
  • Recommend staffing actions to ensure adequate support for end-user computing needs.
  • Approve overtime requests to support critical initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required, with the understanding that this position may involve other responsibilities as assigned by management.
