Job Summary

The Nurse Residency Program at Prisma Health is designed to provide new graduate nurses with a solid foundation to launch their nursing career. As a Nurse Residency Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive residency program that focuses on clinical skills, leadership, and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive residency program that meets the needs of new graduate nurses
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Education Team to design and deliver educational programs that focus on clinical skills, leadership, and professional development
  • Provide mentorship and support to new graduate nurses to help them transition into their roles
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to ensure the program is meeting its goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations and community partners to promote the program and attract new graduate nurses
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required
  • No previous experience is required; candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina; BLS required
