Job Summary

The Nurse Residency Program at Prisma Health is designed to provide new graduate nurses with a solid foundation to launch their nursing career. As a Nurse Residency Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, refining your nursing knowledge and skills while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Attend all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participating in professional development workshops and peer support groups
  • Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program
  • Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team, refining nursing knowledge and skills
  • Actively participate in managing clinical situations, working under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse
  • Adhere to policy and procedure requirements of the organization, including licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, and time and attendance policy
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina; BLS required
  • No previous experience is required; candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible
