About the Role:
NextGen America is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Deputy Field Organizer in North Carolina. As a key member of our youth organizing program, you will play a critical role in engaging young people in electoral politics by registering thousands of young people to vote across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead voter registration drives on campuses and in surrounding communities
- Recruit and train a team of volunteers to support field organizing work
- Develop relationships and partnerships with local community and student groups
- Plan and host events within the community, on campus, and virtually
- Meet all data and field reporting deadlines
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Effective communicator in 1:1, group, or public environments
- Driven by a strong work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
What We Offer:
The salary for this position is $22.44/hour. This is a part-time non-exempt position with a structured schedule as defined in the collective bargaining agreement between represented field staff and NextGen America.
