Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Satisfaction
    • Establish and maintain regular communication with assigned customers to ensure their needs are met.
    • Manage and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Review customer feedback and adjust processes accordingly to improve satisfaction.
  • Scheduling
    • Update construction schedules daily for assigned homes to ensure timely completion.
    • Schedule work with trade partners and suppliers, confirming schedules the day prior to work being performed.
    • Coordinate schedules with the overall team to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Conduct daily quality assurance inspections to ensure homes meet quality standards.
    • Document and address any issues or defects, following up to ensure completion of corrective actions.
    • Deliver defect-free homes to customers.
  • Options Management
    • Update options tracking notebooks and files daily to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain an options posting system at each house to facilitate communication.
    • Verify options with homebuyers during construction process orientations.
  • Safety and Site Management
    • Understand and champion the Shea Homes safety program to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Conduct daily site safety audits, addressing any non-compliant activities or behaviors.
    • Ensure trade partners follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work site.
  • Trade Partner Management
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with trade partners and government agencies.
    • Review and approve invoices daily to ensure accurate payment.
    • Communicate daily with trade partner foremen to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a construction superintendent or field manager required.
  • Ability to read blueprints, reference truss calculations, and understand structural details.
  • Proficiency in MS Office required.
  • Multi-lingual skills preferred.
