Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in achieving our mission to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Operational Duties

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods, based on business requirements.
  • Execute daily operational tasks as outlined by management.
  • Manage promotional activities by educating team members and ensuring proper signage is displayed.
  • Conduct markdowns and inventory pulls as necessary.
  • Oversee layaway procedures to maintain accuracy and currency.
  • Handle internal and external communications efficiently and courteously.
  • Monitor reservation applications, ensuring guest follow-up and team training.
  • Lead the onboarding process, including monitoring hiring dashboards and conducting interviews.
  • Perform inventory assessments, including year-end evaluations.
  • Maintain proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Understand and execute policies regarding exchanges, returns, and loss prevention.
  • Process freight and store transfers through the register.
  • Report inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain all related shipping documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks and theft incidents.
  • Generate shipping labels and organize packages based on transit requirements.
  • Manage recalls and Return to Vendors (RTVs) weekly.
  • Facilitate special orders and necessary communications with guests.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Organize store fixtures and shelving effectively.
  • Engage in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Address maintenance issues within the store.
  • Report policy violations to management confidentially and promptly.
  • Provide feedback regarding merchandise handling.
  • Adhere to company ethics and policies consistently.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Sales and Customer Service

  • Verify merchandise invoices against received items to ensure accuracy.
  • Ship alterations, layaways, or special orders upon request.
  • Check the accuracy of freight packing and transfer slips.
  • Ensure all transfers are processed correctly through the register.
  • Package items for shipping with attention to presentation.

Visual Merchandising

  • Develop and implement a weekly visual merchandising strategy.
  • Utilize the Weekly Checklist and visual tools consistently.
  • Track performance and strategize product rotation using Performance Tracker.
  • Stay updated on current visual standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain visual standards through effective planning and execution.
  • Recognize the impact of store displays on business and act with urgency.

Leadership

  • Provide and receive constructive feedback from peers and management.
  • Foster personal and team growth.
  • Maintain a professional and stable relationship with all team members.
  • Effectively resolve objections and challenges.
  • Self-educate on company resources and share knowledge with others.
  • Be willing to travel to support other locations as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant retail experience or training is preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the role.
