We are currently seeking qualified Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to enhance our team. The SLPs will be instrumental in delivering exceptional speech and language therapy services to students from preschool through high school. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address students' communication requirements, ensuring their active engagement in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Perform thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, utilizing a range of diagnostic tools to accurately assess student needs.
- IEP Development: Create, implement, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plans for students with communication impairments, ensuring that objectives are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Deliver direct therapy in educational environments, applying evidence-based methodologies to address various speech and language disorders. Engage students in targeted activities designed to alleviate their challenges.
- Collaboration: Partner with educators, parents, and other specialists (such as occupational therapists and psychologists) to develop comprehensive support strategies for students. Provide training and resources to school personnel and families to foster speech and language development.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and confidential records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and ethical standards.
- Professional Growth: Stay informed about the latest advancements in speech-language pathology, participating in ongoing professional development and integrating new knowledge into practice.
- Progress Monitoring: Assess student progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to support individual growth.
- Regulatory Compliance: Remain updated on federal and state regulations concerning special education and assessment practices.
- Effective Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and team members to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC-SLP).

- New graduates are encouraged to apply; supervision is available.
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws.
- Experience with diverse learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with special education principles and practices.
