Custodian II Position in Facilities Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian II to join our team in Facilities Management. As a key member of our maintenance and custodial staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our elementary school buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain assigned elementary school buildings and facilities, including classrooms, offices, cafeteria, gym, and other rooms.
- Collect and remove trash, wash walls and windows, and clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Perform minor maintenance on the building, including changing light bulbs, tubes, and ballasts, and repairing lockers, doors, windows, and fixtures.
- Maintain building grounds, including removing snow and ice from walkways, clearing leaves and trash from grounds, and cutting and trimming grass.
- Unlock and lock building according to established policies and schedules.
- Check and replace filters, and may monitor and adjust heating and ventilation equipment.
- Pickup and deliver supplies as needed.
- May direct and supervise the work of the Elementary Building Custodian I.
- High School Diploma or GED or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Some experience in custodial work is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 55 lbs.
- Ability to use all tools and janitorial equipment, including vacuum cleaners, buffers, and other equipment.
Work environment is primarily in a heated/air-conditioned building, however some buildings are not air-conditioned. Outside elements are subject to weather conditions.
