Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian II to join our Facilities Management/Transportation team at Fremont Public Schools. As a Custodian II, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our elementary school buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, cafeterias, gyms, and other areas of the school
  • Collect and remove trash and recyclables
  • Wash walls and windows
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and repairing fixtures
  • Unlock and lock buildings according to established policies and schedules
  • Check and replace filters, and may monitor and adjust heating and ventilation equipment
  • Pickup and deliver supplies as needed

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience in custodial work preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 55 lbs
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and co-workers

Working Conditions:
  • Work environment is primarily in a heated/air-conditioned building, however some buildings are not air-conditioned
  • Outside elements are subject to weather conditions
