Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Folder Gluer Machine Operator to join our team at Belmark Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating the folder gluer machine to convert printed tag stock into packaging components or cartons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Operation: Read and comprehend job order instructions, locate and stage tag stock, and set up and adjust the infeed system, conveying belt, conveying rollers, guide bars, glue applicator system, and exit belt system.
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Troubleshoot problem areas, inspect product quality, and package components into boxes.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean up the machine and area, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate job status with proper departments and may perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Equivalent to two (2) years of high school education and a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for 90% of work time, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 10% of work time, and lift corrugated boxes that weigh up to 50 pounds at a rate of 60 boxes per hour.
  • Work Environment: Work near moving mechanical parts, with nearly constant exposure to vibrations, noise, and chemical odors.
