Blaster Specialist

Job Description:

The Blaster Specialist will be responsible for:

• Blasting metal surfaces using a variety of blast media and equipment.
• Cleaning and preparing part surfaces to prevent contamination.
• Following shop schedules and travelers for each job.
• Mask treads and plug holes as required.
• Handling product safely using a forklift, cranes, or carts to move product in and out of the blast area.
• Performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Inspecting finished parts to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Entering times and closing jobs on a computer after completion.
• Effectively managing time to ensure on-time delivery of every project.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous blasting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of different blast grades and media types, as well as the ability to read blueprints.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A focus on safety and adherence to ISO procedures.
