Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fabrication Technician to join our team at Equiliem.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Job Description

This role involves assembling complex sheet metal fabricated products or enclosures, requiring 2 years of prior experience in mechanical assembly.

  • Assemble large, complex parts according to work instructions and/or blueprints.
  • Install nuts, bolts, rivets etc by hand or with hand tools.
  • Apply masking tape, rubber plugs & caps to sheet metal parts, hardware and holes prior to parts being powder coated. Removing caps, plugs & tape after coating has been done.
  • Hang parts on conveyor line & remove parts.
  • Identify, count, and label parts.
  • Package finished parts for shipping.
  • Move pallets with pallet jack.
  • Load and Unload Powder Coating Conveyor Line of sheet metal fabricated parts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:

  • Ability to read sheet metal shop blueprints;
  • Experience assembling complex parts;
  • Experience using power tools;
  • Knowledge of metric and standard hardware;
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors and coworkers as needed;
  • Basic math skills (addition & subtraction);
  • Timeliness and punctuality;
  • Efficient working speed with attention to detail;
  • Strong mechanical skills;
  • Ability to take direction well;
  • Lifting ability of 75-100 lbs, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and performing repetitive hand and finger movements;
  • Ability to work in cold or hot temperatures in the plant.
  • Prior experience is preferred but not necessary.
