Digital Instruction Specialist 3 Job Description

This role involves creating quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs) by analyzing digital design data and utilizing products in conjunction with build plans. The successful candidate will have experience working with computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly. They will also have experience working in a 3D model, interpreting planning directions, developing 2D and 3D work instructions, and communicating with the value stream.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze digital design data to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs)
  • Interpret design elements and portions of systems for VWIs
  • Utilize computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools
  • Incorporate required changes as applicable
  • Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have an Associate's Degree in a relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, one of the following may be used as equivalent to an Associate's Degree:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
