Law Enforcement Specialist

As a Police Officer with the Texas State Government, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order in assigned areas. Your duties will include conducting preliminary and field investigations, interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects, and documenting complaints and investigations as required by policy and procedure. You will also respond to calls for police assistance by operating a police vehicle in routine and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas in a police vehicle

Interview and/or interrogate victims, witnesses, and suspects
Document complaints and investigations as required by policy and procedure

Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to make sound judgments and decisions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in a police vehicle
May be exposed to hazardous situations and materials
Must be able to wear a uniform and equipment as required by the job
