Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Drive the performance and effectiveness of the HR team in alignment with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Guide the team in establishing and achieving strategic objectives and annual operational plans.
  • Mentor direct reports, ensuring effective delegation and review of HR policies and procedures, while staying informed on legislative changes and industry trends.
  • Manage the HR department budget and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to advocate for HR initiatives and strategies.

  • Design and oversee recruitment, selection, and retention processes, coordinating with department heads to address personnel needs.
  • Manage compensation structures, including performance evaluations and benefits administration, collaborating with external consultants as necessary.
  • Ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings, partnering with leadership to prioritize employee welfare.
Employee Relations:
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, assisting managers in navigating workplace challenges.
  • Represent the organization in hearings related to unemployment and workers' compensation, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication of HR policies and programs to all staff members.
Training and Development:
  • Oversee the design and implementation of orientation and training programs for new hires, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
  • Track and manage all training initiatives, including mandatory annual training and onboarding processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field, with 7-10 years of progressive experience in senior HR roles.
  • Strong proficiency in HR technology systems and applications.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and a commitment to the mission of Massachusetts Nonprofit Network.
