Job Summary

The Community College System of New Hampshire is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Expert to join its team. As a key member of the financial operations team, you will be responsible for performing financial analysis and reporting in support of strategic planning, budget management, and managerial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Develops and maintains financial models for various operational and academic departments and programs.
  • Analyzes financial data to identify revenue and expenditure trends, risks, variances, and opportunities for budget development and management.
  • Works with institutional leadership to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Supports the quarterly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Prepares ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
  • Assists in the evaluation of special project submissions to determine viability.
  • Complies with all college, system, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Estimated salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university.
  • Four years' experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with direct experience with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Valid Driver's License or access to statewide transportation.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, budget planning, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, report, and present financial data.
  • Understanding of computerized financial systems and proficiency in technology including Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP solutions.
  • Effective organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to express ideas and information clearly and concisely.
