We are seeking a dedicated Catering Intern to support our Sales and Operations teams. This role involves collaborating with management to effectively communicate and manage event details, ensuring successful execution of catering events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and directing them appropriately.
  • Handle incoming calls, assess needs, and coordinate with the relevant manager for resolution.
  • Maintain the Catering email, managing event details as directed by the Campus Catering Manager.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing daily orders to the necessary teams.
  • Ensure timely communication of last-minute orders to the culinary and staffing teams.
  • Familiarize yourself with menu items and their online availability.
  • Create signage and labels for events as assigned.
  • Support additional projects as needed by the Campus Catering Manager.
  • Gain insights into standard operating procedures for event execution.
  • Learn the processes for event equipment management, staffing reviews, and pre-service meetings.
  • Oversee staff check-in and ensure adherence to uniform standards during events.
Qualifications
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and committed to providing exceptional client service.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with HACCP.
