Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at PRESS GLASS Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project specifications to prepare quotes for commercial glass projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project documents and technical drawings to estimate material requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, scheduling, and engineering teams to resolve issues and determine project requirements.
  • Calculate material costs based on project specifications and raw material yield.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates using FeneVision and MS Excel.
  • Secure material prices from vendors and purchasing teams.
  • Consult with Quality and Technical Support Engineers to determine production capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent mathematical skills to calculate project costs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in estimating, project management, customer service, or supply chain is an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma required; additional education is an asset.
