Job Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fast-paced concrete products manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, managing budgets, ensuring safety protocols are in place, and maintaining production flow and material costs.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling production activities, and supervising the production process to meet quality and productivity standards.
- Oversees maintenance of all equipment, including managing downtime and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Responsible for inventory control, counts, and audits to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, maintenance, and environmental compliance.
- Estimating production costs, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring good customer service.
- Monitors product standards and implements quality control programs to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Responsible for maximizing the use of transportation and logistics to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Works effectively with different departments (e.g. suppliers, sales, customers) to execute the policies and goals of the organization.
- Ensures compliance with SOX rules and regulations, as well as all local and federal environmental regulations.
- Ensures the business meets expected financial returns and maintains a competitive edge in the market.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; or equivalent of 10+ years of progressive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in planning, negotiating, and organizational skills.
- Prior P&L experience and strong leadership skills while maintaining a team atmosphere.
Preferences
- Experience in a concrete products manufacturing environment.
