Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to join our team at Apple, focusing on developer technologies like Swift and app frameworks like SwiftUI. As a Product Manager, you will hold dual product management and product marketing responsibilities, and be a key media spokesperson to help explain to the world why your products matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and synthesize technology trends, competitive trends, and user feedback to identify new product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with software engineering and product designers to define product roadmap and strategy.
  • Negotiate and influence product tradeoffs impacting schedule and usability to improve user experience and consumer differentiation.
  • Position Apple programming languages, frameworks, and tools in the competitive landscape and craft compelling messaging to encourage developer adoption of Apple tools and technologies.
  • Launch new versions and features of Swift, frameworks like SwiftUI, and other Apple developer technologies worldwide in conjunction with marketing communications, public relations, and events teams.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Swift, SwiftUI and other Apple developer technologies via press briefings and customer visits.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience working as a Product Manager or Software Developer of developer-focused products, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and popular developer IDEs.
  • Technical track record working closely with engineering / technical teams.
  • Strong ability to lead through influence, debate, and storytelling.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Press and media experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
