Job Title: The Sporting Club Host/Hostess

Location: Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host/Hostess to join our team at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, and anticipating and delivering guests' needs.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain consistent service standards and ensure compliance with all hotel standards and local laws.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards and prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections.
  • Perform all necessary tasks for a host according to the standard operating procedure of the hotel, including answering phone, managing reservations and table assignments, greeting guests, seating guests, and explaining restaurant concepts.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel offerings and local surroundings, including nearby entertainment, theaters, etc.
  • Contribute to the restaurant sanitation operation and timing of service out of the kitchen and to the table, ensuring prompt delivery and quality control from point of departure to arrival.
  • Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties required by leadership.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must have hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.
  • A minimum of relevant host experience in a fine dining restaurant is strongly preferred.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Knowledge of Micros preferred.
  • Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
  • Proven ability to engage guests at all levels.
  • Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
  • Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.
