Job Summary

As a key member of our production team, the Assistant Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This individual will assist in establishing production priorities, overseeing production processes, and collaborating with management to achieve effective operations and cost factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards.
  • Assist in obtaining data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Help minimize excessive material on the production floor.
  • Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to optimize production and resource utilization.
  • Review and discuss production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in implementing operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve metrics.
  • Monitor production metrics and complete monthly report cards.
  • Ensure that each workstation has a clean operating area and that employees adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring the SPC system to identify and address repetitive problems.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable business goals and objectives.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability, with proficiency in managing business analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes and global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments and experience with continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and email skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience, or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
