Position Overview

MW Partners is actively seeking a skilled Account Manager to support our client, a prominent leader in the utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and implement GAAP standards and regulatory guidelines while providing accounting support to team members.
  • Conduct financial statement variance analysis related to fixed assets and billing processes.
  • Perform and oversee monthly variance analysis, identifying key factors, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and highlighting trends while analyzing unexpected variances.
  • Manage data analysis related to work order reconciliations and billing accuracy, ensuring the integrity of charges and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with upstream teams to ensure adherence to processes, minimizing inaccuracies in work.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual compliance reports and assist with data requests from various regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Typically requires 6 or more years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey accounting issues and business processes effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
