Job Overview

Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our Head Start team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to preschool-age children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily learning models that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Provide developmental services with sensitivity and confidentiality, ensuring the well-being and safety of our children and families.
  • Maintain a nurturing environment that promotes optimal growth and development, and encourages positive social interaction.
  • Monitor and supervise children at all times, conducting daily observations and health checks to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate programs that enhance children's knowledge, language, and literacy development, and promote healthy attitudes towards their bodies and functions.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans for all children, including those with diagnosed disabilities, and evaluate and document their progress through regular observations and conversations with families.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and experience working with diverse populations, including low to moderate-income families.
  • Two years of experience teaching preschool children in an urban environment.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work with and teach infants and toddlers.
