Position Summary

As an Analyst, you will assume significant responsibilities as part of a dedicated industry or product-focused team.

Your role will involve formulating new business proposals, developing forecasts and valuations for companies, evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities, and preparing documentation related to public and private stock issuances.

You will engage in all facets of the transaction process, including participating in drafting sessions, new business proposals, and due diligence meetings.

Analysts are expected to work independently on complex assignments that require creativity and innovation, with considerable freedom for unreviewed actions or decisions.

You may also lead multiple projects that have substantial scope and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct financial models to evaluate debt and equity financing options for transactions.
  • Conduct valuation methodologies, including precedent transaction analysis, comparable company analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis on target firms.
  • Provide critical insights for equity offerings, valuations, private placements, and advisory services for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Research, analyze, present, and document the components of developing transactions.
  • Create client presentations.
  • Stay informed about current events in relevant industry sectors to keep Bankers updated on significant issues affecting current and prospective clients.
  • Maintain records related to active and prospective deals.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new Analysts and Interns.
  • Manage group databases.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Investment Banking.
  • Basic investment concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in the securities industry.
  • Financial markets and products.

Skills in

  • Effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical skills to assess and interpret market events.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment and software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databases.

Ability to

  • Gather information, identify connections and trends, and apply findings to reports.
  • Maintain attention to detail while keeping a broader perspective.
  • Stay aware of our commitment to daily workflow and regulatory compliance during high-volume activities.
  • Think independently to market ideas effectively.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
  • A Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in a related field is required. Internship experience in a relevant area is preferred.
