Position Overview

Bartending Responsibilities:

This role is vital to the success of the festival. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. It is essential that at least one volunteer per shift holds a valid bartending license recognized in the local area. A member of the Regner Rocks committee will oversee and provide support throughout the event.

Key duties include serving and replenishing beverages such as beer, soda, and water to festival attendees. Volunteers must ensure compliance with age restrictions, serving only those who are 21 years or older, as indicated by wristbands provided at the entrance.

Volunteers should be knowledgeable about responsible alcohol service practices and actively work to prevent over-serving guests.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Accurately handling cash transactions for beverage sales and providing correct change.
  • Offering information about available medical services and police assistance.
  • Sharing event details, including restroom locations, ATM availability, band schedules, and food options.
  • Educating guests about the history of the festival and its partner organizations.
  • Ensuring at least one volunteer per shift is capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.

A friendly and courteous demeanor is essential. Punctuality and a commitment to completing the entire shift are required.
