Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of financial management and leadership, with a strong commitment to social justice and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of finance and accounting professionals
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to streamline operations
  • Work closely with lawyers and unions to support grantmaking and financial management
  • Motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence and integrity

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of VP-level leadership and management experience
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, preferably a legal aid organization
  • Nonprofit accounting expertise
  • CPA or audit background preferred, but not required
  • Experience with union and collective bargaining agreements a plus

What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience

Occasional travel to other EPIP offices across LA County
