Warehouse Operator Job Description

Solventum is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator to join our team in Meriden, CT. As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various operations including working with shrink wrap machines, tape machines, scales, and UPS equipment.
  • Perform necessary clerical and manual work to receive inventory and ship product from verbal or written instructions, which includes the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Identify parts and quantify using required scales, methods of calculations, or other systems.
  • Utilize computer systems to process and move product in and out of stocking locations.
  • Complete quality checks and, if a discrepancy is found, work with appropriate team members to solve the problem.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Assist in the training of other employees as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leads and supervision.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start).
  • Ability to work 1st shift (Monday - Friday).
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds unassisted and up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year or more of plant, manufacturing, and/or warehouse experience.
  • Post-high school education.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
