Job Summary

Located in the vibrant urban city of Chamblee, Georgia, the City of Chamblee is seeking highly qualified individuals to fill positions for P.O.S.T. Certified Police Officers. The Police Officer position is responsible for a wide range of law enforcement functions to maintain law and order, promote public safety and security, and prevent crime.

Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and security
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and resources
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote public safety and awareness
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education; Associate's Degree preferred
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Georgia P.O.S.T. Certification strongly preferred
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process including: interview, polygraph test, psychological examination, background check, physical exam, and drug test
  • Valid State of Georgia Driver's License
