Salary: $48,843/non-post certified (Cadet) - $63,216/post certified (CPO 1)
Job Summary: As a Georgia Capitol Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing security services to the State Capitol and its surroundings. You will work closely with other law enforcement agencies and state officials to ensure the safety and security of our citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations within the State Capitol and its surroundings
- Provide security services to the State Capitol and its occupants
- Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and state officials to ensure public safety
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest law enforcement techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass a background check and physical fitness test
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
