As a CT Technologist PRN, you'll play a vital role in our diagnostic imaging department, working closely with our radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.

Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist PRN to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating the CT scanner, performing CAT scan procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You'll also be expected to adhere to all infection prevention policies and maintain licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.
  • Perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist.
  • Maintain work area, reporting maintenance issues for equipment and monitoring supplies and deficiencies.
  • Adhere to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
  • Maintain licensure and BLS certification.
  • Stay current and participate in departmental training offered.
  • Demonstrate courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co-workers/customers.
  • Understand and appreciate the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external.
  • Participate in clinical activities, such as assisting with patient flow/care and helping to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport.
  • Remain compliant with timekeeping rules, avoiding early, late, and unauthorized entries.
  • Attend staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.
  • Participate in Departmental On Call and Holiday Requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Must be enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program.
  • Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
  • Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).
  • ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred, but not required.
