As a construction inspector at Consor Engineers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our transportation and water/wastewater projects. Your responsibilities will include monitoring contractors' on-site activities, inspecting materials, and verifying work progress to ensure adherence to project schedules, contract documents, and plans.
You will work closely with contractors, superintendents, and agency personnel to schedule work and inspection phases, and provide support to various project procedures, particularly in documentation development for the final estimate package. Your expertise in engineering inspection practices will be essential in performing complex mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
Additionally, you will maintain inspector's daily reports of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified. On-site material testing and producing as-constructed sketches will also be part of your responsibilities.
With a strong background in construction inspection, preferably in transportation or water/wastewater projects, you will be able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. This field job primarily operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.
