Job Title: Baggage Construction Manager

Location: Seattle, WA


Primary Function:

The Baggage Construction Manager will lead a diverse construction management team for projects at SEATAC, overseeing activities related to baggage handling facilities and equipment. This role requires a seasoned professional who excels in both the technical and management aspects of construction, ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an extensive construction management (CM) team, coordinating with SEATAC construction project managers and other support staff as required by the scope of work.
  • Manage and support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Work closely with the client on-site, reviewing change orders, recommending entitlements, and actively participating in project discussions as a key partner.
  • Ensure proper staffing and coordination with third-party inspectors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor safety compliance and maintain adherence to OSHA regulations.


Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid state driver's license
  • TWIC Access Card
  • Ability to pass TSA security and background checks for unescorted badging
  • OSHA 10-hour general industry safety

Preferred Certifications/Licenses:

  • CPR/First Aid

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of Project/Construction Management experience, with a focus on warehousing, package handling, shipping, or baggage handling facilities in airport environments.
  • Experience with CMGC project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong multitasking skills to manage/support multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard project software packages.

Other Information:

  • Salary: $65.00-$70.00/hr
  • Bonus Pay: Bonus opportunities are available based on individual performance, attendance, tenure, and contribution to company goals.
